Charles Sadler II, Pastor

Pastor Charles received a MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary in 2017 and has completed his ordination process with the Presbytery of Detroit.  In addition to his current work with the Beaumont Health System, he has a strong background in working with persons in crisis through his work at Angela Hospice in Livonia and through his pastoral residency as a Chaplain at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.  He has been active in providing pulpit services at a number of our local churches.

In addition to his Master of Divinity degree, Charles also has Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies and Philosophy from Alma College in Michigan.  He served as a Pastoral Intern at Grosse Point Memorial Church in Grosse Pointe Farms in 2016 and at Cedar Park Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia, PA in 2015.  Charles has described his strengths as being a good listener and spiritual counseling.  He is passionate about providing excellent pastoral care to people, discerning God’s call with a church, and leading by spiritual example.

Charles has lived most of his life in Southeast Michigan, except for the time he was at Princeton Theological Seminary in New Jersey.  He has dedicated his life to the church, having been a member and Deacon at St. Thomas Community Presbyterian Church while growing up in Macomb County.  He married Dani Sadler in 2017 while both were attending St. Thomas.  They now have two young sons, Charles James Sadler III, (aka Charlie), who was born in January 2020 and Thomas who was born in December of 2021.   Last but not least, we cannot forget to mention the family dog, a border collie/Australian shepherd mix named Beau.
