Sunday, March 12: Movie Outing ~ The Shack. Meet after church and carpool to Troy MJR. Synopsis: After his young daughter is murdered during a family camping trip, Mack Phillips spirals into a deep depression causing him to question his innermost beliefs. Facing a crisis of faith, he receives a mysterious letter urging him to the shack where the crime occurred, deep in the Oregon wilderness. Despite his doubts, Mack goes there and encounters an enigmatic trio of strangers led by a woman named Papa. Through this meeting, Mack finds important truths that will transform his understanding of his tragedy and change his life forever.
Movie Night: I’m Not Ashamed, March 26th, 7pm. Free movie! Snacks provided! Synopsis: The Columbine Massacre of April 20, 1999 completely redefined America’s view of the lives of high school students. Drawn straight from Columbine victim Rachel Joy Scott’s words and journal entries, through the insight of her mother, Beth Nimmo, this movie tells the true story of a high school student whose compassionate, caring faith caused her to reach out to fellow students, including her killers who made her a target of their murderous plan.
Easter Sunday Events: 9am ~ Pancake Breakfast; 10:30am ~ Easter Sunday Worship; 11:45am ~ Easter Egg Hunt–Free event for children! Each child receives a basket and hunts for eggs; prizes and difficulty sorted by children’s ages. Come join us!
